Hello John Kerry!
If I'm not responding to your emails as quickly as possible, it is because I am searching to live at a higher elevation! A small cabin somewhere in the Mountains of Canada, above the 800 foot level. I am doing that in response to my understanding of global warming. I tend to believe some of the things (certainly not all) a retired Bush era CIA operative talked about on the Web. He began spilling the beans on how coastal flooding would soon become serious and how mass Human migrations to higher grounds would become common place.
I did not believe much of what he said, but I do believe that global warming is a proven fact! It was proven by honest scientists who measured Glacier melt. The operative tried to claim global warming was a fiction and that a stray Planet was going to enter our Galaxy and cause the Earth's Magnetic Poles to shift. This in turn would recycle the bulge of Water now held in place by the spin of the Earth, and redistribute this Water over lowland countries. To me that was patently false! What is a fact is that our Moon is slowly moving away from its regular orbit. It is a process that has taken millions of years and is ongoing, but nevertheless, it is a fact! Without our Moon to stabilize the Planet, our Earth would wobble! That would definitely cause havoc with global tides, not to mention our lives!
Planet or not, and Moon or not, the fact that Global Warming is an ongoing process occurring today, and our top Scientists have created before-and-after comparison studies, that motivated me to consider some form of self preservation!
Scientists have and continue to take precise measurements of Human created CO2 in the Atmosphere. They also measure how this CO2 warms the Oceans and affects changes in our weather patterns. They continue to explain how fresh Water from melting Glaciers, when blended with Ocean Salt Water, slows down the Ocean currents. When Ocean currents slow down or change course, the weather patterns above the Oceans and over dry land usually become abnormal! The El Nino and Nina warm and cold Ocean Currents is a proven example of how variations in Ocean temperature does affect the Air about the Ocean, and the Earth's weather patterns.
In Canada, our Prairie Farmers expected Sunshine and dry weather this year but were surprised with too much Rain in the months of: April, May and June. This tends to make me think the price of Bread and Vegetables will rise in September and December. Does anybody want to bet against me? Yes, John, something is seriously wrong?

Republicans are betting that you don't care - that after all you did to beat them in 2006 and 2008, you're going to sit this one out.
So they're whipping up their base by blocking help to unemployed workers, blocking summer jobs for teens, apologizing to the big companies that gave us the spill in the Gulf, and doing anything else they can do to stop progress. They're betting that they can excite their radical base and you won't respond.
The stakes? Look no further than the truly radical candidates we're up against. Down in Kentucky, it's would-be Senator Rand Paul. Yes, that Rand Paul, who says freedom means a private business can discriminate against African-Americans, and that President Obama holding polluters accountable for the mess in the Gulf is "un-American."
And he's not alone. All across the country, the Republican Party has turned dangerously radical. One candidate calls Social Security "horrible policy," while another has said that Americans will turn to "Second Amendment remedies" against Democrats.
We have to stop them. Please contribute today to Jack Conway, Admiral Joe Sestak, and some other great Democrats. Tell the GOP that you do care and that we will stop them.
The Republican Party believes they have the upper hand; they've made no secret of the fact that they plan to repeal healthcare reform if they win back control of Congress. But we have great candidates, and if we all work at it, we will beat them.
In Pennsylvania, Admiral Joe Sestak is running to keep Pennsylvania blue. In Illinois, Alexi Giannoulias is running hard to keep Barack Obama's seat Democratic. But we're not just playing defense. In New Hampshire, Paul Hodes is running neck-and-neck with his Republican opponent to take this seat for the Democrats.
Each of these candidates will make the Senate work better for average Americans. We need to do more than just play defense. Years of GOP mismanagement dug a deep hole. We've just started to turn our country around, passing healthcare reform, working to hold the big banks accountable for the Wall Street meltdown, pushing legislation to address climate change and end our addiction to oil. The GOP is betting big that saying "no" and blocking progress is a path to success in November.
